What are they?

Simply put: a remarkably easy-to-use set of tools to help one create touchscreen applications.

• A Wizard accessible through the IDE: Create your own Keypads either as toolboxes or ordinary windows; drag'n'drop images onto the buttons; set the text for each button; assign keypresses for each button to press when touched (touchscreen) or clicked on

• Utility template- import the window created by the Wizard into your own program. Fully editable code is placed in the normal embed points as if you had typed it in yourself, so you can change and enhance it as you see fit.

The keyboards and keypads you create are ideal for touch-screen applications, but of course they can also be used in an ordinary application.

How do they differ from the keyboards in the Simsoft Templates?

The Simsoft Templates have pre-defined keyboards and keypads. They have standard keystrokes and standard functions. Although they have been used by many people with great success, some users have needed to be able to create special functions for their applications.

The Simpad Templates therefore, are designed to give you complete control of how your keypad will look and, because of the fact that a Simpad procedure created is a standard Window procedure in the Clarion tree, you get extra ability to configure and add all the functionality you require. They have an actual Clarion program that allows you to design how you want your keypad to look and, as stated above, a utility template that translates that into an actual procedure for you.

There is currently no demo available, due to the nature of the program and template, but I have placed the full Help File in HTML form so that you can get a good idea of what the templates do.
